9. El dilema de Domingo

Este domingo en el Círculo, trabajamos mucho en la máquina. Por primera vez, creamos una estructura completa, y tuvimos un sistema continuo con una canica que se movía a través de él. Incluso pusimos el barco en un bol de agua y miramos su navegación. ¡Trabajamos tan duro en la máquina que casi nos olvidamos de nuestro plan para el día! Cuando finalmente dejamos la máquina, tuvimos una merienda corta, y aprovechamos para cantarle el feliz cumplaños a una de las participantes.


A continuación unas de las niñas leyeron un cuento llamado El dilema de Domingo, sobre un dragón con una tarea muy dura. Discutimos el cuento, y cómo serían nuestras obras de teatro con los títeres. ¡Tod@s l@s niñ@s tuvieron ideas muy creativas! También, hablamos sobre la fiesta que tendremos en diciembre, cuando compartiremos nuestras obras con las familias.

In this week’s session we mainly worked on the machine. For the first time we set it all up and we tweaked some parts to make the whole machine work together. We had a marble go down a slide to push a box of crayons down that would cause the tower of Playdoh cups to make the plane go down and cause all the dominos to fall and push the cat into the boat so it can travel across the water. It was quite a thrill putting all these pieces together. We worked so hard on this machine we almost forgot our plan for the day! When we finally stopped working on the machine, we took some time to have some yummy snacks and sing Happy Birthday to one of the participants, who turned 10 years old!

After snack time, we went back to the room and read El El dilema de Domingo, which is about a dragon who had a very hard task. We then discussed the story and started talking about the piece we’re going to do with all the puppets we created. All the kids had such creative ideas! The last thing we discussed was the big feast we’re going to have in December, where we will perform our sketches and all the parents will get to see all the puppets we created.
