Last Sunday we kicked off our spring workshop, "Coloring our world green,” with the theme of ecology. Thanks to all of you who could bring your kids to participate.

During this first session participants got to know each other a bit through a short and fun activity. They then observed a video clip to get to know more and start thinking about the issue of ecology and its implications. In another inventive activity, they selected an animal or other element of nature to paint and then represent it. By means of a ball of wool, they connected to each other depending on the need each element had of others. As you can imagine, the web they created for the end of this activity was not only fun for the kids, but also gave them a tangible representation of how all beings are interconnected to each other.

After the delicious snack brought by one of the participant's family, the kids went outside to find items with which to plant a seed, which they will be caring for in their homes until the end of the spring workshop, giving it a few drops of water every other day, and plenty of sunlight.

See you Sunday!
