El resto de la primera hora el grupo se dividió en tres subgrupos: l@s chic@s más pequeños trabajaron en la selección de imágenes y palabras para ilustrar sus posters sobre carnaval en la sala de computadoras, adquiriendo de paso un poco de práctica en algunas de las acciones básicas de copiado y diseño en programas de computadora.

Durante la merienda, una de las familias tuvo a su cargo hacer una pequeña presentación sobre dos de los carnavales más tradicionales que se celebran en México, al tiempo que compartieron con l@s chic@s una merienda de frutas, verduras, totopos y una bebida.

A continuación, durante la segunda hora, los grupos rotaron. Mientras que un@s trabajaban en la hechura del vejigante y otr@s en el diseño de sus posters, l@s más pequeñ@s escucharon varias veces la canción "El tambor de la alegría" al tiempo que hacían una actividad de identificación. En las próximas sesiones estarán practicando esta canción para aprenderla y cantarla durante las actividades finales de su carnaval.

On Sunday the 11th the kids started off, as usual, with a game aimed at integration. This time it was a variation on the game of "Alto/Stop", in which a kid stood in the middle of a circle formed by all of her/his classmates. The ball was then thrown in the air as the kid said the name of one of the others, who had to run and catch the ball and shout "Stop!". In the meantime all others ran to get as far away as possible from the ball, since after the voice of "stop" everyone had to stand still and the person with the ball could advance three long steps toward someone. This person then threw the ball toward the closest person. If the ball did not touch this person, the thrower got a letter from the word "stop" (e.g. "s" or "t", etc.). If the ball did touch the person, it was this person who got the letter. The objective was not to be the first person to complete the four letters of the word "stop". With this game the kids could run a bit and be outside to take advantage of the beautiful weather, besides knowing each other a bit better and remembering their names.

During the snack period, one of the families shared a short presentation on two of the more traditional carnivals celebrated in Mexico. They also shared a snack of fruit, vegetables, and tortilla chips, and a beverage.

During the second hour, the groups rotated. While some worked on the vejigante and others on the posters, the youngest ones listened several times to the song "El tambor de la alegría" as they completed an identification activity. They will be practicing this song in future sessions to learn it and sing it during the final activities of their carnival.
