4: El bosque

Este domingo empezamos la sesión con un juego llamado "teléfono desconectado" y unas presentaciones porque tuvimos unas caritas nuevas. Después vimos una máquina Rube Goldberg que consistió de una vela, un conejito, y una patineta entre otras cosas. Entonces nos pusimos a diseñar nuestra propia máquina que pueda contar historias. Después de dibujar nuestras ideas para esta máquina, todos los niños tuvieron chance de presentar sus dibujos. Usando todas la ideas geniales fuimos diseñando nuestra máquina. Algunos elementos eran: un gato volador, una cámara, un ratoncito y la palabra "splash".

Luego fuimos a merendar y disfrutamos de un poco de piñas y uvas. Después de la merienda leímos el cuento El bosque y vimos unos videos de reporteros y noticias. Decidimos que la próxima semana vamos a hacer un reportaje noticiario en el que tendremos un reportero entrevistando a los personajes del bosque, cómo la bruja, el lobo, el hada madrina, y muchos más. Cada niño va a venir disfrazado de su personaje asignado y haremos el reportaje. Qué divertido va a ser el próximo domingo.

This Sunday we began the session with a game called “disconnected telephone,” as well as introductions because we had some new faces this week. After the ice breakers, we looked at a Rube Goldberg machine that consisted of a candle, a bunny rabbit, and a skateboard, among other things. After examining this machine, we began to design our own machine that can tell stories. After drawing out ideas for our machine, all of the children had a chance to present their drawings. Using all of the great ideas we designed our machine. Some elements included: a flying cat, a camera, a mouse, and the word “splash.”

Later we took a break to have a snack and enjoy some pineapple and grapes. Afterwards, we read a story called El bosque and we watched a couple of videos of child reporters and the news. We decided that next week we will create a news report in which we will have a reporter interviewing characters from the story, like the witch, the wolf, the fairy godmother, and many more. Each child will come dressed up as their assigned character and we will make the report. Next Sunday will be so much fun!
