Este domingo, cuando llegaron l@s niñ@s, pudieron cada un@ fabricar un diario en que podrán escribir y dibujar sus ideas. Los animamos a dibujar sus ideas para la máquina que crearán antes del final de “Cuéntamelo”. Mostraron su creatividad y dibujaron sus ideas, y después empezamos un juego de “Wah!” ¡Fue muy divertido!
L@s niñ@s leyeron un comic sin palabras, conocido como Mister O. Esto les inspiró a dibujar sus propios comics. Hicimos una actividad en que cada persona dibujó un panel de un comic y lo pasó a la persona a su lado. Eventualmente, trabajando juntos, dibujamos a lo menos ocho tiras cómicas.
Después de la merienda, fuimos afuera para jugar al “gato y el ratón”. Era un día hermoso para jugar al aire libre. Cuando se cansaron de corretear, nos sentamos en un círculo en el césped y nos turnamos para leer La leyenda de Catuña. Ambos l@s voluntari@s y los niños tuvieron una chance para leer.
Al final de la sesión del taller, voluntari@s y niñ@s tuvieron la oportunidad de compartir leyendas que conocían.

As soon as the kids walked in, they each got to make a journal in which they could record and draw their ideas. We encouraged them to draw their ideas for the machine that they would create at the end of “Cuéntamelo.” They got creative and drew out their ideas before we began a game of Wah!
The kids got to read a comic known as Mister O, a comic without words. It inspired the kids to draw their own comics. We did an activity where each person drew one panel of a comic and passed it along to the person beside them. Eventually, as a team, we drew at least eight different comic strips.
After snack, we took the kids outside to play “gatos y ratones.” It was a beautiful day to play outside. When the kids got tired of running around, we came together and sat in a circle on the grass and popcorn read La leyenda de Cantuña. Both the volunteers and the kids got chances to read.
At the end of the session, the volunteers and the kids had the opportunity to share any legends that they were familiar with.
