Este domingo en Círculo Juvenil empezamos con un juego. Una por una, agregamos una palabra para crear una historia entre todos. Después del juego, Juan nos enseño cómo hacer un “remix” de páginas de web usando un programa adicional llamado X-Ray Goggles. Juntos cambiamos la portada de la página de El País para desearle un feliz cumpleaños a una de las chicas, cambiamos las imágenes , y le cambiamos el nombre al periódico a El Gato.
Después de la merienda, nos aprovechamos del tiempo agradable y jugamos al gato y el ratón afuera. Todos querían ser un gato o un ratón! Entonces entramos y nos pusimos a trabajar en la sala de computación. Usando X-Ray Goggles creamos sitios web de noticias individualmente. Todos disfrutaron de poder cambiar las imágenes, escribir sus propios titulares, y cambiar el pie de autor a su propio nombre. Algunos escribieron sobre las cosas raras que pasan cuando hay una luna azul. Otros escribieron sobre los leones escapando del zoológico y luego crearon una cuenta para poder regresar y ver las páginas que han creado.

Today in Circulo Juvenil we started by playing an icebreaker. One by one, we added a word to create a story together. After the ice breaker, Juan showed us how to remix websites using a plug-in called X-Ray Goggles. Together, we changed the front page of El País to wish one of the girls a happy birthday, changed the images, and renamed the paper El Gato.
After the snack time, we took advantage of the beautiful weather and played "El gato y el ratón" on the mall. Everybody wanted to be a cat or a mouse! We then went inside and got to work in the computer lab. Using X-Ray Goggles we created individual news websites. Everyone enjoyed being able to change the images, write their own headlines, and change the by-line to their own name. Some people wrote about the weird things that happen when there's a blue moon. Others wrote about lions escaping from the zoo. Everyone created an account to be able to go back to look at the pages they created.
