Alfajores y chicha morada!

En la séptima sesión del Círculo Juvenil l@s niñ@s hicieron alfajores y chicha morada. Antes de hacer la comida, jugaron dos juegos. El primer juego era uno de emparejar: había tarjetas con palabras y tarjetas con imágenes, y cada niñ@ necesitaba buscar a la persona que tenía el sustantivo de su dibujo o el dibujo de su sustantivo. Las palabras eran frijoles, semillas, tierra, planta, agua, y sol.  Lo disfrutaron mucho! En otras actividades, l@s niñ@s describieron la etapa del dibujo de su frijol en la tarjeta, y describieron qué tipo de comida les gusta comer al desayuno, la merienda, el almuerzo y la cena.

Para la receta de alfajores y chicha morada, una de las chicas y su familia les contaron cómo hacerlos. En el proceso, l@s niñ@s les ayudaron a a hacer los alfajores, un postre delicioso! Después de la receta, recapitularon los ingredientes y el procedimiento para hacer la chicha morada. Al mostrarles una imagen del maíz morado,  lo describieron con respecto al tamaño, su textura, sabor y color.

En otra actividad, “Las frutas misteriosas”, se les vendaron los ojos y se ubicaron frente a una mesa que tenía mandarinas, piñas, bananos, manzanas y uvas. Sin usar el sentido de la vista, describieron lo que estaban sintiendo con sus manos y se les hicieron algunas preguntas.  Luego tuvieron que tratar de adivinar qué fruta era.

Al final del taller, las maestras les qué aprendieron en la sesión y trataron de hacer un resumen sobre los elementos centrales.

April 14th was the seventh session of Circulo de Juvenil. The kids made alfajores and chicha morada. Before making the food, the kids played two games. The first was a matching game. During the game, there were cards with words and others with images on them and each child had to find the person that had the card that matched theirs. In the second game, the kids needed to describe the growth of their bean plants. In another activity, the kids had to say which foods they liked to eat for breakfast, snack, lunch, and dinner. 

One of the kids and her family taught everyone the recipe for the alfajores and chicha morada. The kids helped them make this delicious dessert. After enjoying their work, the kids reviewed all the ingredients and the steps in the recipe and they were shown a maiz morado which they had to describe in terms of size, texture, flavor, and color. 

In another part, there was an activity that was called "the mysterious fruits". The table had mandarins, pineapples, bananas, apples and grapes. They described what they were feeling with their hands and they were asked some questions about the fruits too. Then they had to guess what fruit it was that they tried. 

At the end, the teachers asked the children what they learned during the session and tried to have them make a brief summary about the most important ideas.
