En la sesión anterior hicimos las camisetas de nuestro equipo: el Círculo Juvenil de Cultura. Tomando como inspiración los varios uniformes de los países latinoamericanos, l@s niñ@s deliberaron qué iban a poner en sus propias camisetas. Diseñaron un escudo para el grupo que consistía de imágenes importantes simbolizando lo que han aprendido en este taller: una pelota de fútbol en el centro, una niña y un niño, un zapato de fútbol, un arco, y las letras CJDC (Círculo Juvenil de Cultura) que representan nuestro equipo. Con suficiente tiempo para planificar sus diseños, l@s niñ@s empezaron a hacer sus camisetas. Utilizando una variedad de colores y pintura realizaron sus ideas decorando la parte delantera de sus camisetas. La parte de atrás con los nombres y números se quedará para la próxima semana.

La presentación durante la merienda nos educó sobre una actividad muy interesante: equipos de fútbol de robots. Vimos vídeos de los equipos de tamaño pequeño, mediano, el "androide", y los robo-perritos. Mientras van desarrollando la tecnología de los robo-deportistas inteligentes, compiten en el RoboCup para demostrar sus capacidades impresionantes al mundo.

Después de la merienda, aprovechamos el buen tiempo y fuimos a jugar afuera. Empezamos con un calentamiento, unas competencias con la pelota, y unos ejercicios de trabajo en equipo antes de un partido amistoso entre dos equipos. L@s ultim@s niñ@s que no habían hecho sus títeres, se quedaron adentro creándolos. Ya que tod@s han terminado sus títeres, estamos animados para poder ensayar más la obra de títeres que presentarán l@s niñ@s al final del taller.

In the last session, we made uniforms for our team: the Círculo Juvenil de Cultura. Taking inspiration from the various uniforms of the Latin American countries, the children deliberated what they would put on their own T-shirts. They designed a shield for the group that consisted of important images symbolizing what they have learned in the workshop so far: a soccer ball in the middle, a girl and a boy, a soccer cleat, a goal, and the letters CJDC (Círculo Juvenil de Cultura) to represent our team. After sufficient time to plan out their designs, the children began to make their shirts. Using a variety of colors and paint they turned their ideas into reality, decorating the front side of their shirts. The back of the shirts, with their names and numbers, we left to be completed next week.

The presentation during the snack educated us about a very interesting activity: robot soccer teams. We watched a few videos of the various teams: small sized, medium sized, android sized, and the robo-dog team. As they keep developing the technology of intelligent robo-athletes, the teams compete in the RoboCup to demonstrate their impressive abilities to the world.

After the snack, we took advantage of the nice weather and went outside to play. We started with a warm-up, a few competitions with the ball, and some team building exercises before ending with a friendly game between 2 teams. The last of the kids that hadn't completed their puppets yet stayed inside to create them. Now that everyone has finished their puppets, we are excited to be able to rehearse further the puppet show that the children will present at the end of the workshop.
