El domingo anterior l@s niñ@s continuaron en el proceso de conocerse y de explorar su conocimiento sobre la ecología, prestando atención al daño que hacemos al contaminar el agua y desperdiciarla, así como la relevancia que tienen las distintas poblaciones de árboles en nuestros parques y bosques.
Al comienzo de la sesión, hubo un juego de “
papa caliente” en el que l@s niñ@s debían dar su nombre, su edad, y contar sobre lo que hacen para cuidar el planeta. Luego, en una actividad que les involucró mucho, trabajaron en equipos compartiendo las adivinanzas sobre animales, frutas y verduras que trajeron de sus casas con los demás equipos, obteniendo puntos por cada acierto.
Luego de la merienda, con ayuda de l@s estudiantes universitari@s crearon y presentaron en grupos a l@s demás participantes del taller un collage con animales, plantas y características existentes en cada uno de los hábitats que les fueron asignados por la maestra. Finalmente, aprovechando el buen tiempo, salieron al patio para correr un poco y jugar al juego de arbolitos, leñadores y guardabosques, uno muy similar al juego de pillar, “
la lleva” o “la mancha” congelada, con el enfoque puesto en la ecología. La sesión se cerró con una recapitulación de vocabulario aprendido.

Dear parents,
Last Sunday we continued in the process of knowing each other and exploring their knowledge of ecology, with attention to the damage performed when we pollute and waste the water, as well as the importance of different populations of trees in our parks and forests.
At the beginning of the session, there was a game of hot potato where the kids had to give their name, age, and tell about what they do to protect the planet. Then, in an activity that got their attention, the kids worked in teams to share with other teams the riddles about animals, fruits and vegetables brought from home, earning points for each correct answer.
After the snack, the kids worked in groups, with help from the assistant college students. They created and presented to other participants of the workshop a collage of animals, plants and characteristics for each one of the habitats they were assigned by the teacher. Finally, taking advantage of the weather, they ran outside a bit and play the game of “trees, loggers and rangers”, one very similar to the game of "it", with the focus placed on ecology. The session closed with a recap of vocabulary.

How are the seeds sown in the first session doing? Perhaps some have already begun to sprout? Please remind your children to care for the plants at home until the end of the spring workshop, giving them a few drops of water every other day, and lots of light.
